This organisation has a close relationship with Voluntary Service Overseas and provides strong performers with the opportunity to take a financially assisted career break to help a community in the developing world. Accenture also has an Environment Action Group made up of 300 volunteers from every part of the business. In addition, they offer three day’s of paid volunteering which can be used by employees to work with a charity of their choice or join the Accenture Business Class programme where they can share their professional skills with local community partners.
Accenture provides formal and informal training such as on the job experiences, participation in special seminars and other educational events as well as individual self-development activities. There is a range of capability development programmes in place at all levels that cover a breadth of functional, industry, sales and personal development training as well as core training. Employees are frequently encouraged to search out mentors and role models to help support their personal development and as they reach managerial positions are encouraged to be mentors to their juniors.
