Giving Something Back

Although ASDAN are a charity themselves they work hard to raise money for other charities selected by their employees. Fund raising activities include a weight loss programme where employees donate money if they gain weight as well as a donation scheme in place of sending Christmas cards to colleagues. ASDAN also take their environmental responsibility very seriously and among numerous schemes they have introduced solar panels to help provide hot water and are currently investigating powerless air conditioning.

The CEO and senior managers are regularly seen ‘walking the building’ to interact and engage with their staff and are always more than happy to accommodate any employee who wishes to approach them about any matter, query or problem. There is no preferential treatment for senior staff so they face the same fight for car parking spaces and will be found taking their turn cleaning the kitchen and answering phones.
